We here are Truzu are well aware of the economy and how important it is to save money is these tough financial times.  However, one would think or at least hope that the elite money makers of the world would try and see to it that good service is rewarded.  Let us take celebrities for example.

All I know is that if I were a multi millionaire and a few hundred bucks meant a hell of a lot more to someone else than me I’d step up to the plate and leave a nice tip if I had nice service.  Be it a restaurant, getting a haircut, who cares?  Point is if you’re treated well, treat them well in return.

But alas celebrities are human beings and not all of them are nice.  Something tells me these people should be using our coupon codes!

Here are ten celebrities known for being notoriously bad tippers

Britney Spears

Britney was enjoying her stay in a $2000-a-night villa in Maui, and received the standard superstar treatment.  However, upon her departure the bellman received nada.  Way to go Britney!

Billy Joel

This I actually have proof of.  I’ve lived in Long Island nearly my whole life and I used to be a waiter out on eastern Long Island where Mr. Joel frequents bars and restaurants.  On numerous occasions not only was Billy mean and loud but he effectively skips out on the check most of the time.  If he doesn’t he’ll leave little if any tip.

Tiger Woods

Tiger, who is worth over $500 million, reportedly pulled a mulligan on a $5 tip, re-pocketing a tip from a waitress after realizing he had dropped a gratitude on her earlier in the evening.  I’m guessing he was distracted by the $10,000 a hand of blackjack he was playing.  What an ass.

Madonna

Between touring, recording, performing, interviewing and adopting, she still manages to keep on eye on expenses, keeping her business boat one tight ship, as in the S.S. Tightwad.   Apparently she gets mad when she takes the time to scour all the phone bills in her organization, and finds that staffers occasionally make personal calls.  If they dare to do so, the truth is they pay for any call they dial on her lines.  Also, yes, she apparently tips like crap.

Bill Cosby

I guess it takes more than Jello Puddin’ to make this guy a generous tipper.  True story.  $375 bill.  10 dollar tip!  Come on Bill!

Sean Penn

On when Sean Penn was in New Orleans: “Sean Penn is in New Orleans filming & came into my restaurant with 3 other people. Waited on them hand and foot. The bill $450.00 – the tip: none. Cheapskate.”

Barbara Streisand

Doesn’t always tip. When she does it’s $10 for a bill of over $450.  She’s very high maintenance and demanding and no one ever wants to wait on her.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham loves her treatments but according to one source in the beauty business she allegedly expects it for free.  Somehow I’m not surprised.

Regis Philbin

Once he left a cruise staff a $60 tip for an entire week’s worth of personal service.  His wife is said to be very high maintenance and the ship’s crew was happy when she left two days early.

Bobby Brown

From a waiter here in NYC. “I was the server of mister brown and well it certainly wasn’t a nice experience.  He was rude and wanted special items that weren’t on the menu and his kids behaved so badly that they dumped the sugar out of the packages on the table and all the adults didn’t pay any attention”  250 dollar bill, 10 dollar tip.
